Pinocchio

Pinocchio

Lunch and Performances April 9, 16, 23, 2016

Theatre for the wee ones in mind, and still fun for the entire family! And a lunch, to boot!

Enjoy the physical humor and witty banter of our poor, but merry, band of traveling performers – Arlequin, Punchin, Columbine, Rosetta, and Pantalone – as they tell their own version of the classic children’s tale.

Join us as Pinocchio springs to life from a block of wood wanting to be a real boy and play games, having fun like all the other boys. And our little wooden child, of course, gets swallowed by a great fish; a beautiful prop that Pantalone frets will get dirty.

Performed in the style of Commedia dell-arte – which is Italian for “comedy of the professional artists” – a popular form of theatre since the 15th century. It is the fore-father of slapstick comedy as performed by the Marx Brothers and just about any animated features by productions companies such as Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks.

Suggested ages are 4 year olds to adults! Tickets just $10.

Doors open at 11:00 am. Lunch starts at 11:20 am.
Performance at noon and done by one!
